Another Stinking Windshield Thread
The topic has been beat to death- I know!!
BUT- I REALLY like the quick-detach HD system, so that eliminates Memphis & other products for the purpose of this discussion.
Here's my situaiton. 70% of my riding is local pleasure rides- no windshield.
The other 30% is either colder weather (35-50 degrees), rainy days, or touring (300+ mile days).
So... for keeping the cold, the rain and the long-distance bugs off which HD shield would you suggest?
I'm 5'10" and ride a low-rider with stock seat.
Super Sport?
Touring?
Low Profile?
Standard Height?
I'm interested in hearing your opinion before I spend my $$$
Thanks!

go to memphis shades website. they have a good chart for you to check the sizes to your hieght with pics. so you can get a good size you want, some like to look throught the shield some like to look ovver the shield. then you just measure the harley shields for a matching or similar size

I've tried 3 of the 4 in your list. I currently have the quick release low profile. I had to make some windshield lowers to make the shield useful. Without lowers, the updraft causes more discomfort and head slapping than no shield at all... the updraft will blow a bug right up my nose under the chin of my Arai fullface!
I'm 5'9" and ride a Low-Rider with 3 different seats.
National Cycle, 2-up windshield.
I have had mine on for 2 summers now (ok 1 1/2) and really like it. Can take it on or off in 5 seconds and it has a key lock as well. I just rode over 3500 miles in the past 2 weeks, upwards of 90 MPH and it works great.

The picture below shows a POS (Peice of S**t) Harley Davidson Windshield. I have taken it off and burned it, lol.

I'm 5'11" and I have the Harley standard quick detach. I really like it. There is some adjustable for height by where you attach it to the fork tubes. I keep it as low as possible but it could be raised up about 2". Make sure you get to try it on your bike before you by it. You don't want to have to look through it.
Oldrifter,
I'd stay away from the HD quick detach w'shields. The mounting clamps are made out of cheap pot metal with chrome over them. The HD shop busted two of them installing it for me the day I bought it. When I rode with it for a while I discovered the buffeting of my helmet caused my vision to blur. Definitely not worth it. BTW-went to install it the other day and another clamp broke. So be very leary of them. Fair warning.
