2000 DYNA Vin Code Help
On a 2000 DYNA the vin number is 1HD1GHV1XXY, What does the 1XXY decode to? Where can I fine this online? I think the 1 is for 1 = Domestic (Normal) X and the other X I am not sure? one of the Xs, may be for 1999????? and Y maybe for Manufacturing Plant:Y, B = York, PA..

BMyers the link to tabperperformance you said is the one I was using. but I did not really understand the purpose of the nineth place number. the nineth number is called a check number. I did not know what it meant.
chopper man. I did not know the vin decoder here at Harley Davidson Forum. so I went to decoder here and it explained the nineth place number is a check number used to; A Check Digit used to algorithmatically validate the entire VIN.
So Bingo, got that figured out. thank you guys for your help.
This means the seller with the VIN 1HD1GHV1XXY. the first X is check number (not for me) and the second X is 1999 year. seller says it is a 2000 bike. If I go look I will just check that part to see what gives.
