Once you remove the cartridge internal of the single cartridge fork tube on the Low Rider S, the tube and slider are the same. Any appropriate 49mm cartridge, spring and emulator (with the purchase of some parts not included in the cartridge fork, I.e. damper rod and top out spring) will fit. On my 2016 I had installed Racetech springs and emulators, and later Öhlins NIX22 cartridges, no problem.
I am having 30mm Öhlins cartridges built and plan on installing them in the next week or so, on my 2017
I think all he wants is adjustable preload caps, not new internals.
Right, but Multi already explained previously that its not an option with the single cartridge fork in the LRS. The OP then asked in a later post about other cartridge options...
The Reason I said "I'll look at the instructions later" is because depending on the methods cartridges accomplish a couple things, FXDLS owners don't neccessarily have to replace all the parts people "think" they need to replace.
Btw, the forks tubes are Not the same
.

They are different part numbers, yes, but for some reason they worked fine with racetech springs and emulators with the addition of standard low rider internals (damper rod and top out spring) as well as with Öhlins NIX22 cartridges.

Your going to enjoy those 30mm cartridges. They are fantastic.

OK, I guessed he was asking if the cap from one of the cartridge options would fit his current setup.
I thought that just put the missing counter spring on the left rod like the one on the right, but I have not yet seen if the internal rod is the same. I wrote to Bitubo, I wait for an answer and I inform you for information.
