I am new to this site, so hello. I am struggling with an issue I have with my 2000 dyna fxd. I have been tracing an electrical issue that caused the wiring harness from my ignition to get hot. I found there was a grounding issue with my orange and blue wire, I started to eliminate items comes down to my fuel gauge when unplugged the issue goes away. I don't know much about the fuel gauge or sending unit on this bike, so was wondering could it be just the gauge or is it the entire unit? And is there a aftermarket fix for this?? Thanks to anyone that could help

This partial wiring diagram from the Clymer Service Manual doesn't show any blue wire,if any blue wire in the entire wiring diagram.
So please try to find out where that blue wire is connected to: either ground or a 12V power source...
