Throttle issue
I replaced my bars, cables and throttle tube last winter. I've got the clutch and throttle just where I want them but I'm having a weird issue. When I'm making a right turn, like on to a side street and I come in in say, 2nd gear, glide through the corner and when I try and get back on the throttle, all of a sudden there's a huge amount of play that's not there any other time...so I end up either lugging the engine or hitting it too hard. Once the bike is upright again, everything is back to normal? What gives? It's a '17 fuel-injected FXDB with just a stage one.
Cables are adjusted with the bare minimum of slack right now and the Biltwell throttle tube is slick as snot, it's a hair-trigger. It's like I am getting slack in the cable only when I'm leaned over???
may sound silly, but check to see that your cables aren't getting snagged by whatever clip is connecting your fuel tank crossover under the front of the tank, or that something under the tank between the cross over and throttle body is snagging the cable.
The fact you seem have a a lot of play suggests that the Idle cable is in some way the culprit. it could also be riding up and out of the guide channel in the hand grip as well.
