The center piece in a 16 Low Rider tank - is it chrome? It has some small scratches that I want to remove. From what I'm reading, chrome is different from other metals when it comes to polishing. Based on the brightness of it I can't imagine it not being chrome but I just want to double check.
chrome as opposed to???? it is not polished aluminum if that's what you are asking...
I figured it's chrome, i don't know any other metals that would be that bright that they would use. But I just wanted to double check so I don't mess something up. Thanks!

Quick word of advise regarding chrome polishing, Wright’s paste silver polish with the sponge applicator works very well at minimizing the fine scratches on chrome, you apply it to a wet surface and rinse with water. It’s a fine jewelers rouge in paste form. I find it less abrasive than your traditional liquid chrome polishes.
