I'm all for constructive criticism, I misspoke earlier, I have the manual in pdf form! I dont physically have it. According to or how I understood it, the pushrod didnt need to be adjusted, the YouTube videos I have watched said its not necessary. This is not my first Harley, it is however my first WG, it a 97. I will definitely follow your instructions and go from there. Much appreciated
Yup you're right, there's no need to adjust as it stays the same before and after a new cable.
Here's a couple of links that are helpful on seeing how things go together, also good to get part numbers and Google search images to see what you're dealing with, and / or for ordering parts online.
I'm not a fan of "Get a manual" posts, if someone asks for help and the only responses are "Get a manual" you are going to end up with a dead forum. Especially the new members, think they will come back or go elsewhere?

i really appreciate the links! Super helpful. I have followed what the manual says, but nothing changed. I will reseat the ramp and ball assembly and see if that is the issue. Really appreciate you guys, as I am pretty new to clutch adjusting and what have you!
Got him and took the clutch cable out and the ramp, one of the ball bearings uprooted and moved to the other slots. I greased them out everything back together and she purring and running like a kitten!!!
thank you all again, I couldnt have done it without you!!

Right on, glad that was the fix. I'll take mine medium rare!
Next time you in the clutch cable side, you might want to install the Burly EZ Boy clutch device. $25 and a 40% reduction in lever effort, with the same "lock-up" as before. The friction zone will be wider too...
