I have a Vintage Solo (not studded) on my '04 and I have to say it is very comfortable on a long trip. I'd be tempted to leave it on as the permanent solo but I have another solo that looks a little better for short around town rides.
I have the Vintage solo on my 01 fxd. I think it's a great seat. I 'm thinking of getting a Vintage Wide. Does anyone have a wide on there FXD. I'm curious on the look and of course the comfort factor. I'm hoping its a little deeper the the standard vintage.

I just bought the wide vintage solo with backrest for my FXDL. I have only put about 200 miles on it but it is already feeling really good. I thought about the Corbin but have always been told they are hard as bricks until you get 2-3000 miles on them. I didn't want to wait that long to break a seat in so I went with the Mustang and am glad that I did.
Love my Standard Vintage Solo but it does move you back a bit and up about 1" compared to stock - still not broken in so we'll see over time if it settles in. Excellent construction and comfort, with the nice little support for the lower back. No longer feel like I'm riding on the seat but rather in the seat. See sig pic and gallery for more.
Think it was twofish that did a great comparison photo shoot of stock vs. mustang - I'll try to find the link to the thread and get back to you.
