Finally found tank badges

got these at the local shop..should look awesome. pic does not show well,but they are a off white in the middle... any advice on putting them on ?
should they be level..or slone down withthe tank flow.. parts guy told me level them looks best ..
these were on the early 60's panhead bikes. real chrome and well made for sure .

That one (red) is a buddy of mines he has for sale on consignment at the dealer.. I can get a better close up of mine tommoro..

Voyager1 - don't know if the dealer sold you the adapter kit for the nameplate or not, but here's the link with the part number for late model fat bob tanks:

Read full description - it comes with double sided tape already intalled. I believe (?) you can avoid the extra expense of the adapter by using 3M double sided trim extra strength (WalMart, NAPA, etc) right on the nameplate, but not sure how it would look w/o the adapter.
