13000 miles on it. This bike ran OK when I got it, but it went downhill early in the year. Can't run at 25 to 35 MHP without a constant misfire, and jerking.
My local dealer put it on the computer and diagnosed it as bad oxygen sensors. Replaced those and plugs, but no improvement. Took it back and was then diagnosed with likely bad fuel injectors. Replaced injectors and it runs about 90% better. Still having the misfire though when cruising in town at 25 to 35 MHP, but significantly less. Thinking about trying a new temperature sensor, but no codes for that. Fuel pressure is OK at 58 PSI with no leaks.
Anyone had a similar problem and figured out how to fix it? Not having an enjoyable experience yet with my first Harley.
Id be looking for a different shop that knows what there doing rather than just throwing parts at it. is it happening when you let off the throttle or shifting?
I've seen a pin hole in a fuel line inside the tank do that , yes it will still show proper fuel pressure on a guage , the problem shows itself as a drivability issue . The fix is to carefully remove the top cover from the fuel tank , start it and using caution , look inside at the fuel lines for a pin hole which will have pressurized fuel spraying out . Not a good time to be lighting a cigarette while doing this .
I've fixed more than one stumbling piece of **** this way.

Not happening when letting off the throttle. Mostly noticeable when on long stretches of 25 to 35 MPH. Misfires and jerks. Doesn't run smooth. If it's doing it at other speeds I don't notice it.
There is some backfiring when letting off throttle and downshifting. Don't know how much of that is normal?

I did a lot of research and came to that conclusion earlier in the year. Took the top of the tank off to check for leaks or a blown oring, and found out that mine is made different than any of the videos I saw online. I couldn't figure out how to get the pump, etc. out. That was before I bought the service manual. Everything looked clean and like new from what I could see. Not old and brown.
I do hear a fuel trickling sound when the fuel level is low, but was told there is an overflow that causes that sound, so I haven't checked into that anymore. Also, the fuel pump makes an occasional strange grunting sound when the switch is turned on. I wouldn't think that is normal.

The pump will groan a bit as it builds pressure initially . There will be a bleed off of excess fuel , thats the gurgling sound you hear . The plastic lines they use inside the tanks can rub and develop pin holes.
