Hey guys first post, you have a real nice community here. I recently bought my first HD , an 02 Dyna that is naturally aspirated. It has a stage one and a bussani road rage 2 into 1 exhaust. Im getting some deceleration pops and a gasoline smell when I ride, and the inside of the exhaust is black/sooty. If I understand correctly this points to the bike running too rich. What size jets should I order online to lean it out assuming current jets are stock? Should I drill out the factory plug and adjust with the adjustment screw in the carb? If so how much should I back it out from being seated flush? Thanks for taking the time to read.
Ya gotta CV-40 carb that needs adjustments. Never assume anything. Gas off, pull the fuel bowl and check the float height along with what size the low speed and main are. Normally that anti-tamper mixture plug is removed when re-jetting. BEFORE ya start rippin stuff apart on an uneducated guess, get a Factory Service Manual. Uneducated guesses = wasted money on **** ya don't need. EVERYTHING ya need to know about your bike is in there.

Stage 1 included a CV Performance upgrade. No need to replace what's already been done. Check the fuel float level (gas smell) and the jet sizes. So no hiccups and smooth throttle response is good. Decel popping can be cured adjusting the idle mixture screw.
