I built a canister about 30% larger capacity 50% more fin area.

That is super awesome. I imagine you tested clearances. It would work real well on a 3guys oil filter relo bracket, out there in the wind with no wheel and fender in front of it. Who has one of those... Hmm....

Nice job. I'll bet that does run cooler.

I have been on the fence about buying a Flo/PC Racing filter that looks like that one started as. With the original(FLO) before your mods, did you notice any temp drop over the OEM filter? That would be a bonus for me, mostly I was considering the filter for cost savings in the long run.
