Ok so I figured out the problem. Pulled the primary off and found that the rotor bolts had backed out, except for the 3 that snapped off. Which ripped apart the stator.
So looks like they both will need to be replaced. Ive been doing a little reading and was wondering if it would be worth doing the SE compensator upgrade? Also on an 06 is there anything special that would need to be done or changed besides using an 07 style stator? And I guess the most important question is.... is it worth it?
lastly when I pulled the compensator bolt out there was a little plastic ring broken and wrapped in the threads of the bolt. Not sure what it is or where it came from? Below is a picture of it, next to the red marks on the towel. Maybe something from the stator?? Not sure.
anything else I should look into changing/upgrading while Im in there?
Just glad thay did not lock up at 100 MPH. Replace the seal there. Be sure to note direction and that it is still what service manual says. It's easy to put some in backwards. Make sure the spacer is not grooved. Mine was but I could 180 it and pick up a new surface

i guessing you mean the seal behind the stator? Tried to look it up, but couldnt find a part number for it. If anyone has the part number thatd be a big help.
