The cam you have is choking the motor. MR103 cam and put in 10.5 compression 96" pistons. Get TTS tuner and a good dyno tune. You will have your "more overall power". The increased duration will add top end, and the increased compression will help out on the bottom. You did not state what exhaust you have.
I'm not a hp junkie, more like a torque junkie. I like to ride pretty fast but doing more than 200 km/h isn't so interesting to me.
What do you mean by choking the engine?
Otherwise I 've a bassani road rage 3 and a big sucker. (dyna bro mod)
Also I want to stick with s&s cams because i really enjoy the easy start ****.
So far if possible i 'd like to try with 583 cams and my plan was if i want more top end some days i' ll swap cams and put a nice s&s oil pump and cam plate in the process.
But if you tell me that a stronger build will run like qhit with 583 cams i'll change it. Do you recommend a cam?
I see that s&s sell a 110 kit with s&s 585 cam oil pump ect.. But it's quite expensive. Anyone has any review about this kit? Will it run good in a 96 twin cam 3.91 injector and stock throttle body?

The 583 cam only has 203 degrees intake duration. S&S designed it for stock 8.5 thru 9 to 1 compression. You stated you want more power everywhere. You can achieve that by putting in a larger duration cam and increasing the compression. Your current cam is running out of steam by 4,000 rpm. If you put in the MR103 cam, that will get extended to 4,500 rpm and have a little less low end torque using the same compression. Increase the compression to 10.5 (with the MR103 cam), it will extend the rpm range another 500 rpm, and you will have more low end torque (and mid) and snapper throttle response than your current combo. "More" power everywhere. A Thunderheader would also give you more low to mid range torque and better drivability than the Road Rage without losing anything on top.
Another way of putting it, you breathe thru a straw and only get so much done. Breathe thru a 1" pipe, and that gives you enough to get anything done. Same for duration for a motor. 203 degrees is like minimum, 226 degrees is enough without killing the bottom end and having reasonable compression without pushing it to the limits of pump gas.

I really don't know, my point is to increase the overall perf of this engine.
I'm not a builder i keep that to professional, maybe polished and ported 🤷♂️
I think i will pull the trigger on the complete s&s 110 with 585 cams throttle body and injector maybe within a year or two. But from now to this could just increase the power a little bit i'll be happy.
