Took my 07 Fxwg to my custom indybuilder a few months ago. The 07 bikes have a better cam plate and improved cam chain tensioner. Stay with the chain drive cams.
No you do not have to change the cam bearings. you need to put a stronger spring in yer oil pump. Better have oil pump alignment tools. While yer in there why not send yer heads off and git them ported and polished and have yer jugs bored to 95 cu and put some Screaming Eagle flat top cast pistons in. This will make yer bike a 103cu. If you want better pipesgit the D&D fat cats.
Git a Thundermax with Auto Tune and install it too and you will like the results.

How in the world do you get 103 cubic inches after telling him to have it bored to 95 cubic inches. Your not going toget 103inches out of that no matter what kind of math you use.

Wasn't paying attention to what year he has. Got ahead of myself. I was thinking it was a 07.
If he has an older style he needs andrews cam plates to change everything over. All this is rather a large job if he has never done it.
I was gonna ask but I forgot. One of the years had cam bearing that gave a few problems.
On a 07 its a 103 bottom end with a 88 top end. if you bore them to a 95" with the longer stroke of the stroker motor you have a 103.
I'll try to pay more attention, Thank you for straightening me out.
