I've ground off the bit of metal that protrudes now and I'm half way through swapping the controls over. Have you had any problems with your installation?
Can someone MEASURE the distance between the Bolts on ONE SIDE of a deuce riser? I want them but I need to be sure that my FXDL Clamp will fit!
The last thing I need is to buy a set and have my clamp NOT FIT!
By the way, I need to re-use my Clamp as it has the Indicator lights BUILT IN.
Thanks!!!!
I can get you the measurements tommorrow AM. Not sure what your clamp looks like but you might check out this link fo a mod http://xlforum.net/vbportal/forums/s...ead.php?t=6779
P.S. I have a set of bars and risers with bolt caps and radiused hand controls and switches if anyone is interested PM me. http://www.spacerjim.com/Deuce.html If your not interested in hacking your rsers and possibly causing chrome issues.
There will be NO issues with chrome peeling SDEUCET.
The piece you cut off is on the underside and does not come the whole way to the edge of the riser. It is basically just a nub on the bottom.
A hacksaw is the best way to get it off and probably the quickest also.
I think it measures 1.5 or 1.75" apart for the bolts...bike is not with me now.
I beleive we used the stock handlebar clamp and the speedo looked ridiculous sticking way up in the air...hence the use of the Accutronix guage mount and older speedo clamp.
