Hey guys, I did a bunch of engine upgrades last year and now I'm needing taller gearing. Stock rear pulley on my 99 wide glide is a 70 tooth,I think. I'm wanting to drop to a 68 tooth for taller gearing. I'm having trouble finding 68 tooth options. It's there another model that will interchange with my 99 fxdwg? Or a specific place you would recommend I look online? Thanks for any input.
It being a 99 with a 1-1/2 belt, there are few, if any, options available. You might find a pulley off another older bike that had fewer teeth, and have to retrofit the spacing for your application. The easier option may be to look at a different front pulley, but that will require pulling the primary.

I was hoping to avoid changing the font pulley......but it's starting to look like my only option because I'm really having trouble finding a 68 tooth to fit my bike.
I know the later model Sportsters are 68 tooth and I'm running one on my 2013 Dyna but the centering hole is 2.2" and belt width is only 1 1/8" where as the 99 down were still 2.0" center with a belt width of 1.5"... You can get a later model Sportster pulley but will need to change the belt as well so the cost is going to be up there.. I would just replace the front pulley to a 31.. Andrews makes them and are better than most.. And you can still use your OEM belt..

Thought there might be more to it, thanks for the info.
