Yep, guess they don't build 'em like they used to...
please remove this pic, it is not right to post this here. some ofthe members hereare from minnesota. i would hate to see someone seeing this pic and one of those cars or that school bus, have some of there family members in it. jackyl
Nope, Louisiana has the worst roads, and it isn't because there is not enough money. By the time the politicians get thier kickbacks the contractor has to cut corners somewhere and that's usualy in the subgrade or pavement thickness. But on the bright side we do have the richest politicians in the nation.
The bridge in the picture is a reminder that this structure was declared in need of repair by the U.S DOT and the state chose to ignore the warnings. Just like the pot hole orC-curb that is placed in a dangerous spot for motorcycles, broken pavement and other road hazards your tax money get diverted instead of repair, buys a new trac hoe for theparks department. Bet a few inspectors had a hard time sleeping last night.
If the mods want the picture removed, feel free.

I live in Minnesota about 12 miles from the bridge, been over it many times. My family and I are all ok. As far as the comment about them not being bulit like they used to be, that bridge was built in 1967. Also bridges are to be mantaned by the federal government. At least thats what all the news has been saying.
