It's no better down here jackyl. Certain areas, yes, they have newer paved roads, but they're just as bad as the roads where when I lived back in Ohio.
What's the big deal about the pic of the bridge that fell in Minnesotabeing posted? Pic up any newspaper, sign on to any News URL or turn on your damn TV and you're going to see that same thing. Maybe even worse by now, if not worse by tomorrow. Damn, it's just a pic. If you can't take it don't look at the damn thing.
tnelsmn,
yep I know it was built in 67, a lot of crap was built in those days. The state is responsible for maintenance and draw federal funds to maintain them. Ask where those funds went?
We have bridges out here that were built in the 30's and are still stout as a wedding dick. Ever been in a shear-wall house? Total new tech sh*t in my humble opinion.
mtnlvr,
"Real funny DynaHo. Nothin' like puttin' a nail in the coffin. Look out for karma."
You are real funny name calling, tell that to the families that lostfolks in that disaster caused by
an inept state. I see a lot of DRT's in my work.

There's absolutely nothing wrong in posting the pic in the right context. But that wasn't it. There's nothing to joke about when it comes to tragedy.

You are real funny name calling...
Sorry...must've been the emotions talking.
...tell that to the families that lostfolks in that disaster caused by
an inept state...
And what exactly makes you well-versed to make a statement like that?
1. Not a joke, bad roads.
2. Ok
3. Wait and see the results of the investigation, as in #1, no joke.
4. Dead Right There, meaning road death.
Also used UAC, Unidentified Animal Carcass or Un-successful Animal Crossing.
Well the roads where I am blow goats too... so it seems all around this country the same theme is repeated... or pervasive... either way as a rider you have to not only ride for all the idiot cagers around you but for the jacked up roads and their different types of half-a$$ed surfaces...
When I used to ride Horses everyday growing up my G-daddy used to say "keep your mind between his ears boy..".. meaning .. he is an 1400 lb animal and if he decides he wants to do something stupid and hurt you he might try if you aint a couple steps ahead of him mentally. So the same analogy applies I suppose.. "keep your mind between the handle bars.".. and your head in the game...
Yep,there's still certain advantages to living in a statewhere a lot of the roads are still dirt and if you want to cross a stream you're gonna get your feet wet and if you hit a pothole you don't have to worry about coming out the other side, but you can take a nice swim while you're waiting for a crane to come and lift you out.
Hello , the roads in new jersey i think are the worst in the country . We have pot holes as big as a 20 inch tire . Try that on a highway doing 65 . Fun stuff . It really sucks .
Hey labfreak, a pressure ridge forms when the heat causes the asphalt to expand and pushes up a ridge of material. It's like a big speed bump. When your driving a cage you only hear a couple of thumps when you go over them but on a bike it can rattle your teeth.
