2003 can’t find quick release hardware for backrest
Called Harley they said they don’t make the quick release hardware anymore for 2003 , so anyone know where I can get the hardware and the backrest setup ? eBay shows backrest sometimes as 2005 and up dyna but I don’t think that will work will it ?
Which model bike are you trying to find this for? Exactly what are you looking for, just the hardware or the sideplates as well?
Lots of parts interchange and if all you want is the quick release hardware and already have the plates, they all interchange.
I have built several custom setups, the hardware is pretty generic.

For a 2003 superglide
ahh ok I’m looking for side plates I got the hardware just mailed in (the rubber pieces the side plates go to ) are the seat pads all the same width as well ? I have a seat pad already just need side plates I’m assuming side plates are not interchangeable due to different widths
OK, side plates are a different story, the spacing between the mounting bolts are different. There were some differences in width, but that doesn't change the side plate.
Most 96-05 Dynas can use the same side plate, you can check the bolt spacing, for 96-05 should be 12.375 center to center, picture is from my old CAD files when I was building custom mounts.
You should be able to find something on ebay.

Do most seat pads work with side plates ? I have one seat pad that I wanted to use , it was on another set of Harley plates but of course the plates didn’t work on my 03 but I wanted to use the seat pad
