Does anyone know if the base circle of the 570 cams are the same as stock? I can’t seem to get my adjustable pushrods exactly where I want them, so I’m considering dropping some solid pushrods in there just to make it easy.
Why would that matter? You'd bring it to TDC compression one cylinder at a time. Tighten to zero lash, adjust to .120-.140 or however many turns you would need and then wait for the lifters to bleed down and then turn by hand. Why buy solid lifters that you can never adjust?

I know HOW to do it, or what I’m SUPPOSED to do...I just did my first cam and big bore install. I’m getting some rattling from the rod/lifter area. Clearly I adjusted something wrong. Figured it might rule out that variable if I can just throw some stockers in there or perfect fits.
The bike sounds great and fires right up, just some clankity clank in that area. Not sure if rods hitting the tube covers or if I OVER extended them or UNDER extended them.

I assume the base circle would be the same on all cams for any given engine considering the valves must all close the same way they did with a factory cam.

Gotcha. To save a little dough, I would just start over on your push rods and make sure they were adjusted correctly. Your call in the end.
Unless you primed the lifters with oil and got all the air out, they will clatter for a little bit. If they're still rattling after a couple miles of riding, something isn't right. But the base circle is the base circle. if you were on it and adjusted the PR's from zero lash per the instructions, you should be good.

That’s reassuring actually. I’ve only done heat cycles so far and pretty nervous to ride it because it’s clattering at idle, so I’m anxious to put any real load on it. Maybe just a short spin around the block and see what happens.

Yeah I might pop the covers off and readjust just to be extra sure. I appreciate the input 👍🏻
Like FordHD said, if you followed instructions you should be good. Mine did clatter a bit for a short time. Without hearing it, I can't say much more. You'd know if it was a serious issue. Other than time, it doesn't hurt to check again I guess. Still better than paying $125 an hour haha!
