Running Screamin Eagle adjustable taper pushrods. Instructions say 2 1/2 turns but I opted for 3. Not sure if I should go more or less honestly....
Def could be rocker covers due to new springs. This is snowballing pretty big here haha.
I would have to assume those instructions are based on using stock HD lifters. Are you using stock lifters? If not, which ones? If the rocker covers are the issue, you should be able to see witness marks when you pop them off.
Yeah I hear ya. I know what needs to be done, I just don’t wanna haha. I was patting myself on the back because I was super careful, followed instructions to a T and still ended up with a headache. I wanted that easy bolt on power but here I am chasing gremlins.
I don't know the base circle for that cam but they are not all the same, far from it.
It's not uncommon to have to ride 5 miles or so to get the lifters fully pumped up & everything sorted. It's a little tense for sure.

Being as you had your heads decked....it's either your lifters aren't pumped up still, or the pushrods are contacting the tubes somewhere.
I have decked heads and I have andrews 37h cams. I have a clicking noise all the time like you. It's just my specific setup that makes them noisy. I chased everything and it is just a fact of life that it is noisy.
Not all cams use the stock size base circle. It's not uncommon at all to use a smaller base circle as a means to get more lift. I ran cams in my Sporty that had smaller base circles.
The 570s however do use the same.
Make sure the cylinder you're adjusting is on tdc compression, not overlap.
That said, using solids is not a bad idea if you really want. Eliminates some potential issues that can and do happen occasionally with adjustables. But I would have some custom made to put slightly more preload on than the stock .100 I think it is. Like adjust the adjustables since you have them then measure them.
I know most would say this would be a waste of $$$ and not necessary but I know people including builders that would never use adjustables and I'm not fond of them myself even tho I'm using them atm.
I've considered doing this next time I pull my heads.
