Looking for some guidance on seats. I currently have a solo seat and pillon pad. I like the look but the pillon pad isn't very passenger friendly. Attachment 614489
I also have a seat that is more comfortable for passengers but it is BIG. Attachment 614490
Seat height isn't a problem and I'm not looking for a bagger set up, just something that is more comfortable for the occasional short two up spin with better aesthetics.
Going to be very tough to find a thin passenger pillion/seat to provide adequate comfort. I can only imagine your passenger will be much more impressed with the comfort than the looks. The sundowner you have is one of the better seats for a passenger's comfort.
Take a ride to Cali with the Sundowner. Have Corbin make you a custom seat while you wait. Ship the new seat back home. Ride back home. You can have your cake and eat it too! Looks and comfortable around town.
Just to give some perspective ages ago I got the Mustang Wide Regal Duke seat with the really wide backrest pad for my Shovelhead. The guy I ordered it from said "Man, that setup is going to be ugly". I've been using that setup for over 20 years. I was more concerned with comfort than looks. Still haven't regretted that decision. On the rare occasions my wife rides that bike with me she is comfortable. The wide seat also is a good platform to tie stuff down to (I installed bungie nuts on the rails).
I've had dozens of seats for a lot of different bikes and let me tell you that cool and comfortable are two different seats.
That Sundowner you have is one of the most comfortable seats on the market, who cares what it looks like as long as your *** is happy. Besides when you're sitting on it you cant see it anyway.
