I always wanted to put the low rider dual disc brakes on my fxdc. Wonder why the low rider was the only one to get them. Op, any dyna you decide on can be whatever you want it to be,and that is the beauty of the fxd line.

hell yeah, Im pumped man. Cant wait to hit the road
Dyna's are just awesome....after starting on a Dyna....going to a couple of Softails then a few baggers I am now back on a Dyna...best bang for the buck with an HD IMHO. Id vote for a superglide or street bob...they can be had for a decent price, and are so versatile to mod and shape the way you want. A dyna can be made to be a barhopper to a cross country bike...or both lol!
Low Rider is a slightly 'fancier' model with more chrome, and 1.5 deg rake in the trees, the S model blacks everything out and adds the bigger motor.
This is not true. All dynas sub models has the same rake except wide glide.
OP, if you gonna work on your bike, start with the one with the best base for your build. Street bobs comes with wire spoke wheels and some of then came with a fixed bar clamp. Other then that, street bobs just a stripped out dyna with a bobbed rear fender and single disc brake in front.
Seems like youre in love with the low rider s, kinda club style look. Youll need the regular top tree for your risers and mids/forward mids foot controls to get the same ergonomics. For cosmetics, its easier to get a dyna with a black engine.

yes I do like club style, but not full on club style if that makes sense. The more research I do the more Im liking the street bob. I like the stock apes on. I feel this would be more comfortable until I can get some t bars. Dont the bobs come with mid controls? Kinda confused what you mean about the risers? Im still learning about these bikes.

seems like you think a bob is a good bike to start with for customizing it the way Id like?
