My rear caliper is moving up and down about a quarter inch. Is this normal? I can hear it rattle when I hit bumps. I have tried to tighten everything but still moves. Just had rear tire replace as well.
For past 8 years I found my rear brake useless. About 6 months ago I replaced the caliper pin kit ( 10) and it really helped and very easy to install. I also bled out of the lines about 3 times with my vacuum bleeder. I also raised the brake pedal and installed Lyndall gold pads . Now I can use the rear brake alone to stop if I so desire. I have abs brakes .
As an additional note, I installed dual front discs about 3 years ago. What a difference. Why can't Harley listen and install on all its bikes.
