Rear caliper moving up and down?

Rear caliper moving up and down?
My rear caliper is moving up and down about a quarter inch. Is this normal? I can hear it rattle when I hit bumps. I have tried to tighten everything but still moves. Just had rear tire replace as well.

Year and model of the motorcycle would be useful so you can look up the parts on the caliper. There is a rubber piece on some models that fit into a slot, you may want to check that. Verify with a parts diagram from Roni's HD or similar.

That would be nice. It didn't start doing it until I just had new tires put on so I was thinking the tech ****ed something up.

Pull the bolt and see where the slop is! Wouldn't be the 1st time I've heard of a tech not putting the sleeve back in!

The two times i've had something put on or checked it's came back worst than when I left it. Gets aggravating. Hell I was on the highway and my 4 day old front tire blew because they pinched the damn tube.
