Default Fuel Packs

I have an '07 FXDBi Bobber and my local delaer carried out a Stage 1 conversion with V&H fuel pack with a pair of Screaming Eagle slash cuts. The bike ran real rough and was not crisp at all and popped and crackled like a good'un on the over-run.

My lovely dealership perservered and found this little beauty https://www.kitechperformance.com/st...on=show_detailwhich has smoothed out my power band, crispened up the bike's performance and now its a smooth as hell on the over-run.

Just wanted to share this.......................

Ride free and safe

Cool...That would be enough to get me to buy an Injected "A" Harley.

If you ever want to go 1st class look at the Thundermax with Auto Tune.

Not sure what that means - but maybe sounds a bit flippant

Sure - if you want to spend a $1,000 as opposed to $300 for something that does the job with minimal messing around.

OK, question for ya....that is a British company, would those work on motorcycles sold in America? There may be differences in emission controls on bikes sold in Europe than the US. I am not really sure, does anyone know about this? Simple curiousity, my FXD is carb!! [sm=helpout.gif]

My honest opinion is that the slip-ons need to be replaced with full V&H exhaust. FuelPaks are made specifically for their own full exhaust, and some others, but not necessarily for slip ons. I run a SE Stage 1 with V&H Bigshots Staggered, with the FuelPak (version 12) set to the factory specs, and it runs great. Your FuelPak is probably running too rich.Lots of air comingin, but not enough coming out of the pipes.

My thought exactly, I just can seem to justify 3x the price

The 300 tuner will not do what the 800 tuner will do. The 300.00 tuner is a piggy back. Were only talking about yer engine here . My buddy used to talk just like everybody else till he got one on his bike.
The 800.00 tuner is a ture tunerwill adjust itself as you ride and if you go up into the mountains.
There's a reason it cost more. Done been down both roads.

mine will be for grabs soon if anyone wants it. i have an 06 wide glide with V&H big radius and K&N filter. the bike runs extremely lean and is almost like i don't have it on at all.better than not having anything but... i tried it for a while and followed all directions to the T. and it was really lean. i contacted V&H and i got a different setup from them and it was slightly better but stillquite lean. so i opted to put a powercommander on mine. just my experiences.
