Hey fellas, I decided to replace my swingarm pivot bearing and bushing this winter. It's a 2013 FXDB, i'm just wondering if anyone has some tips on removing the bearing? I got the bushing out pretty easily but the bearing is not budging. I don't have a hydraulic press so i'm wondering if there's another way to get it out? Don't really want to spend $200 to get a bearing out.
Don't get in a hurry up there, hell, you're in Alberta! That's like 28' of snow or whatever country-right, can't be riding weather so don't spend money yet! You probably got like a walrus tusk laying around or Wooly Mammoth toe you can always pound/mash it out with
Then again, I see you folks on TV commercials with all that gold up there, you all must spend $200 on a tube of toothpaste up there, and just what the hell are you fellas up to in Indian Cabins cause that looks mighty suspicious to me!

And nice wheelie
My walrus tusk is just a bit too big lol I actually have a pretty long list of things I'm doing to the ol girl this winter that's why I'm asking now. I only know about the black gold around here I think the wheelies are the reason for the slop in my pivot bearing
Ok, I replaced my OEM with an aluminum one but have the stocker on-hand and looking at it it should be easy to take a c-clamp and a socket that fits and push it out, I think a c-clamp is preferable to hammering it out so Bam, to easy! You'll need a larger one on the outgoing side to clear the bearing coming out.
Take a look at it and let me/us know if there is any issue with that
Princess Auto has a ball joint press with adapters that will probably work.
I have a 6 C clamp on it now Im pretty sure its seized in there. The new bearing slides right in front of it with ease so this might take some hydraulic power to get out unfortunately for me.
Took a hydraulic press to get the old bearing out but its finally out and now its all back together! Zero play in it now, the pivot bearing was definitely toast.
