Hello everybody, yesterday I bought a 2013 Street Bob and when I got it home I noticed a red dot just to the right of the base of my speedometer needle. I’ve studied the cause of this nonstop sense I got it home. I was seeing a bunch of different answers as to a cause so I finally figured out how to do a diagnostics check and cleared out all of the stored codes and only one kept popping up so I’m assuming this code is what’s causing the red dot. The code is B2136 and that means low beam output open. My question is what does that actually mean? Also, what are the steps in order to fix it? Thanks in advance.
FYI - when I bought the bike the previous owner did have an aftermarket LED headlight installed so I’m sure that’s what’s causing the code to pop up.

You know what headlight he put in, maybe give the manufacturer a call, may need a load equalizer. Previous owner probably quite aware, have you called him?

Not sure of the headlight to be honest as I bought it from a dealer. A load equalizer? Can you elaborate on this? I’m gonna have to look into it though. From what I’ve read what could be causing the problem is the LEDs don’t draw as much power as the factory incandescent bulbs so that could be tricking the system into thinking my headlight is out.

If you bought it from a dealer, take it back and have them correct the issue, they should not be selling bikes with error codes.
