This might be a silly question, but when you change filter/exhaust and use a tuner to "calibrate" the whole thing...
Do you need to "keep" the tuner? Or can you borrow one, ride around for a bit, do the mapping/calibration (or whatever) and give it back?
Or is it one of those things that need to be permanently installed so they keep making calibration corrections if needed?
I tried searching around a bit, but found conflicting answers on the subject so apologies if it has been addressed, but I'm new to the whole upgrading thing.
If you have a Power Vision you can just buy a new license and keep using the same hardware. Harley's Screamin' Eagle is VIN locked forever unless someone created a hack.
