From the Netherlands even,eh. This will be the 3rd steering damper I've run on this bike: way back in the paleolithic period I had a (actually 2 before I gave up on them) BK Rider. After that a $400 Storz Cerrani. The Storz was nice for about 6 months, if I could have found a rebuild kit woulda kept it but bugs and road grime ate it up. Will see how this unit does, it's smaller than the storz and a better design me thinks. And no I don't think the bike really needs a damper but one that works is nice under certain conditions- heeled over hard on a rough
patch of road or blowing down I15 thru Utah at triple digits dodging semi trucks for instance.(Jeez I need to repaint the frame on the bike I guess,eh)
2 thumbs up for the Hyperpro. Better than the Storz, less obtrusive on the lowest setting and 115mph on some tore up section of the freeway ( 60 thru Mesa) feels as stable as 80mph did before
Honestly, I get up to 110-120 every now and then especially on this one parkway with a long sweeping left and never felt anything funny in the bike.. Are the dampers really necessary if the alignment is right on? I'm only asking because I never had a steering damper...
My Fatboy is a deferent story though, right around 105 I'll get a wobble but can power through it pretty quickly.. that bike has a stupid offset from front to rear.. Don't get that one.....

no you don't "need" one on a well aligned and stablized Dyna, but they are nice to calm things down if pushing the bike hard, or really windy section of freeway with a lot of big rigs, etc. . Fatboy eh, got the solid wheels? Those can catch a lot of side wind....

On the fat boy I think it's just the nature of the beast with the way the suspension sits and the rear swing arm on spherical bearings, I don't think they give the greatest stabilization and you couple that with the offset I think it's just built to be poor.. I did change the front end though going to more like a Softail custom and I replace the spherical bearings in the swing arm with better shocks and also I'm using better springs in the front.. We'll see what it's like in the spring.. I'll see if I can get a picture of it later.. The rims are from Southern machine wheels.. Got them 5-6 years ago.. https://www.southernmachinewheels.com/

Nice looking wheels. Yeah my limited experience with a 2012 Heritage was that they do indeed handle funky, weird sloppy truck like kinda. It was my Ex's bike- she put in Progressive carts and monoshock and it was much better ( then she traded it in on a Limited Low
I've heard the Custom front end is better....

That's what I'm hoping for.. By using the trees that I did it reduced my trail from 6.1" to 4.8". Hoping it's all the difference..
