As far as all the gay comments: I wear whatever the F I want when I ride. I have a drop dead gorgeous woman with huge knockers. So I sent her this email....
"do you think I look gay on my bike wearing shorts or should I always wear jeans?"
her reply
"No I don't think you look gay wearing shorts on your bike at all. Jeans are just safer, You look good no matter what you wear on it - you look wicked hot on it - like a movie star!!!"

No ones doubting jeans are a little safer but no ones had the ***** to come up to me and tell me they think I look gay on or off my bike. Bottom line -wear whatever you're most comfortable in. There's no such thing as safe on a bike either way.

You shorts wearers should know I agree with you 100% -- wear what the hell you want. If you didn’t, you’d be a bunch of pansies for giving in to what others want.
But the original poster was looking for opinions on the issue... so folks started expressing their opinions. Ya gotta go into a thread like that knowing from the get-go that you’re not going to agree with everyone’s opinion. Which is why I find it so funny that a few of you jokers are getting all menstrual over the issue.
