You can buy split speedo, tach's from the HD catalogue. Its got the speedo and tach in the same little dash, so no mounting to be done. And i dont mean like the lowrider, its one single unit like the ST Bob already has. But be advised they are real pricey.

I tried that route and the only thing HD told me was that it comes in the larger speedo/ tach combo, to big for my bike. Do you have a picture or part number? Did you have to modify the opening on the street bob to make it fit?

Yes, Baron (Harley Tachometers) is a forum sponsor and makes a very nice tach and housing, but you need split riser clamps as it mounts on the handlebars (in various diameters) between the risers - or, you could mount it anywhere else on the handlebars just not sure how that would look or how easy it would be to see easily if it's not in your field of vision. I have one arriving later this week I found on the forum parts for sale from a forum member, and already have split riser clamps with my new domed risers. Just may not get it installed for a while. When I do, I'll post pics, but their website shows how they look pretty well.

I don't have a Street Bob but I'm sure this will work for you also. I modifided a bracket for a softail standard and used the Harley 2 5/8" mini tach kit.
