The starter motor determines the load, not the battery (unless you install a 24 volt battery...)

I too am a fan of Deka and other batteries from East Penn. Duracell is one.

Add one more with the Duracell from Batteries plus. Installed July 2017, no problems.

I ride a Sportster. My first, original, battery lasted 4 years.

I replaced it with a 'Powersource' brand battery. That lasted twice as long and cost half as much as replacing with the original
brand would have cost.

When that died I replaced it with a Deka ETX. That was 3 years ago so I can't comment on how long it will last.
One difference is that my almost daily riding ended in 2009 due to family problems. That was when I began
using a tender.

I went with the Batteries Plus varieties for a while but went back to oem HD from the dealer. They last just as long and perform the same (and cost almost the same) but the oem batt fits better and the terminals hold better.
