Default lifter tick on startup
My FXDC was stored for about 5 months in an unheated garage. It started right up but it had a brief lifter noise after it fired. Now the brief noise is there every time I cold start it. Did the long nap in storage damage something?

HAve you ridden it 20 miles or are you just staring the bike up?

rode it for about 3 miles..enough to heat it up..shut it down and it ticked again the next morning

Lifter bled off and and you haven't ridden it long enough to clear the air lock completely yet. Run if for a while push the RPM's a bit.

Ride it about 20 miles, Drain the Oil and install Lucas 20W50 Synthetic. Your Welcome!
