No start-clunk
I just wanted to let everyone know the issue was resolved by simply installing a new battery. I must say it’s a bit embarrassing that’s all it was but also happy it was that simple. Thanks again to everyone for the insight!
Also, a new battery, car or motorcycle last about four (4) years. At that point the battery needs to be load tested periodically. Otherwise, you could get stranded somewhere with a bad battery, that may not even jump start. Ask me how I know.

I know it's a little late, but, you say the problem started after you had the bike in storage. Did you take any steps to keep the battery healthy during the storage period? Did you try charging it, or have it tested before you replaced it?
Hate to see you back in a year with the same problem...
[Edit]I see the bike was in storage for 5 years. Not much chance the battery would survive that regardless of what you did. Still, if you're going to store it for (say) the winter, you need to take care of the battery if you want it to survive.
