Has anyone had success getting a lock nut underneath the lever? I looked under and didn't see a way. Mine is currently stripped. Thanks.

Put the bolt in yer pocket. Now go to the closest hardware store. Look at the nuts & bolts. Take out yer bolt and find a longer one, the find a lock nut to match.
You mean 32? I'll probably end up tapping the linkage first. Next will be removing the primary. Just looking for a quick fix if at all possible.
Looks like adding a nut "might" hit the primary cover when down shifting. Below quote is from another thread = no need to remove the primary. Maybe remove the lever, and if it has enough material you can repair the threads with a Heli coil, Keensert, or whatever.

Is the bolt hole stripped or the part of the linkage that goes around the splined shaft?
How did that bolt get stripped?
Why are you showing a flanged bolt and not the original bolt?
