Bike Died While going 70. Any help appreciated
New to HD Forums but figured it was worth a shot.
I picked up a 2007 Street Bob with some work done to it but made a few changes last week. Bike was running great before the mechanic at my moto garage touched it, so wanted to try and grab some input.
I had him take the tank and front fender off so it could get some new paint done. On Friday we got everything back on the bike. Swapped exhaust to a Bassani road rage, reinstalled tank and front fender and air cleaner. The bike has a plex audio system and Saturday morning it went out. Brought it back to the shop and realized a wire got cooked and the fuse blew. Installed a new wire and new fuse and we were good to go.
Sunday morning im riding on the hwy bike is running great. Stopped for some coffee and got back on the road. Within 5 minutes after the stop my bike cut off while riding. Pulled off to the side to check everything out. The lights, turn signals, speaker, lightbar, spedo, and power vision were all on, but no clicking from the starter. Completely dead. Got it towed back to my garage and when I got back the starter clicked but wouldn't turn over. Bike has gas in it so its not that. Checked most every wire I could see and looked like everything was a ok.
I'm thinking spark plugs, spark plug wires, maybe battery is on its way out, but it is fuel injected. I haven't changed any of that yet, but wanted some opinons on what to go through or if anyone has a type of checklist. Checked the battery and it was low but put it on the tender and charged it up and still nothing.
Thanks in advance!
When you say "nothing", is the starter not cranking at all?
Check both ends of both battery cables.

As stated above, get your battery load tested.
How old is the battery?
Just because a battery shows good voltage does not mean it has enough amperage to crank the engine over. Could have a shorted plate etc.
Get your battery load tested then report back for further information..
