Cant figure out how to remove chrome spark plug covers on 98 FXD Superglide. Reading that some pull off, HD shop says these have set screws that are hard to see.
I do not see them anywhere.
Any help is appreciated. Bike was running perfect and now seems that a spark plug went foul or something. Even though HD shop changed them 1k miles ago.

I tried this as you can see scratches on the cover. Not wanting to budge and near impossible to get a screwdriver in that gap, if you can even call it one. Im stumped

I would try WD-40, a penetrating oil, or Windex Glass Cleaner, and something non metallic to pry them off.
Vice grips, needle nose pliers., Hose clamp, WD40, Windex, will all work, I would not care about massing them up because they would go in the trash when I got them off.
I like the hose clamp idea. Bet them puppies were silicone on. The chrome covers for the head bolts have set screws. With condition the plugs look after 1K miles, makes me wonder if they were changed.
