Last Sunday whilst being on the road I couldn't access my l/h side bag...the pushbutton (1) was stuck all the way down into the latch housing (2).
After I got home I was able to remove the rod from the lid's hinge and got access to the cam (3). I pushed in the cam with a flat screw driver to free it from the catch and off the was the lid!
I disassamled the latch from the lid and noticed the cam (3) was stuck into the latch housing (2). I pushed it out and found out what caused the cam being stuck: a twisted spring!
The spring has the size of a spring used inside a ballpoint so I replaced the twisted one with one from a ballpoint!
Just to be sure to avoid future issues I want to buy a spare latch so I looked up the latches p/n (90279-01) and found out that this p/n is no longer available from MoCo.
Extending my search to the WWW I found out the latch is produced by a firm called Southco and still available, even over here in the Netherlands!
