another dyna surging
I have had surging on my 06 and 07 but it was at about 2,000 prm and was fine after 2,500.
The surging was so bad on the 06 Dyna and the dealer could not fix itsoHarley Davidson made the dealer I bought it from give me 100% of my money back on a trade in. I traded my 06 on an 07 and the problem is basically gone. I get a small amountfrom 2k
to 2.5k but nothing that concerns me. They all do have some slight surging which is normal.
I kept going back to the dealer about it and I wrote a letter the HD tech that came in to check it outwhich is what finally made HD and my dealer refund my $. I have found HD bevery, very good on warranty issues.
good luck

Hey everyone, I have a 07 wideglide that surges at all speeds. The stealer said "all" of them do it at 2500-2800 rpm. I really don't think this should happen. Who's right them or me? And what can I do to remedy this? Thanks.

I have brought my bike back to the dealership three times for odd noises ion the left side. Friday when I picked it up, they again told me there is nothing wrong and tried to sell me a 10,000 mile service (430$ oil change). When I got home, the stator, rotor assembly ate itself after the stealer had supposedly just went through the whole primary. Now they have proven that they can not be trusted. The only way you'll be happy is to have the bike dyno tuned. As for loud shifting mine was really loud due to the fact that all the rotor to compensator bolts worked themselves loose. I would have this looked at before believing that the clunk is normal.
I'd be lookin for another dealer. Sorry to hear about yer bad misfortunes with this dealer. The moron couldn't even torque the bolts . Man please. This happened on my buddy's street Bob, the stator eat itself up and quit charging. Who they letting put the bikes together these days.
