Default another dyna surging

Hey everyone, I have a 07 wideglide that surges at all speeds. The stealer said "all" of them do it at 2500-2800 rpm. I really don't think this should happen. Who's right them or me? And what can I do to remedy this? Thanks.

I have the 07 WG - bone stock - and have noticed no surging.
As far as I can tell, she is smooth at all engine speeds even when really warmed up in Houston heat.
I am new to Harleys but I think the "they all do that" seems to be the standard answer for just about anything.

Did they test ride your bike or just give you the standard answer?
Maybe they have another bike you could ride to see if it does the same thing.

Good luck because this could drive you nuts.

Ask the dealer to sign a paper stating to the fact that they all surge. When he asks why tell him so they know what stealership your gonna own in case of an accident.

I was told the same thing. They also say it is normal to have a loud "clunk" (or bang in my case) when shifting, it is normal for the front end to "clunk", and it is normal for the handlebars to vibrate.

If I didn't love the bike so much I would have taken it back a long time ago.

my bob does the same thing, beavis...clunk on shifting, and clunk on front braking... it's going in for the 1k service next saturday...i suspect the shifting might just be due to worn oil- going with synth will probably soften it a bit... but the front clunk on braking is NOT normal... and i won't leave that dealership until i get an answer outside of the "they all do that" bullsh!t ...i'm sure if i looked at the bike long enough, i could figure it out, but i just don't have the time anymore

will keep you posted!

I have a 07 lowrider. it seems to surge a little at 2500 rpm till it warms all the way up. I also had a clunk in the front end when going over bumps. Took it in for the 1000 mi. service, dealer said they checked fuel pressure it was okay said i was riding in too high of gear. Theytightened tthe stearing head bearings and that stopped the clunk.Might suggest that to your wrench.

Harleys make noise when they shift.... If it is too loud, syn may help.

The head bearings is almost always the issue when you have that clunking noise on a hard brake.....check the torque.

Surging, its an issue with a lot of the new O2 sensor bikes. Mine did it a bit, smoothed out a little with stage one d/l. TFI took it all away.

Wait, something doesn't make sense. You complained that it surges at ALL speeds and their answer is that they all do at 2,500 -2,800 rpm? Then if they are right, they should still recognize you have a problem. Or did you mean it surges in all GEARS?

In any event, my 07 WG didn't surge, but I didn't think the engine was as smooth through the rev range as it should be. When I complained, I got, "there all like that". When I added the SE intake, the Vance & Hines Big Shots, and the V & H fuel pak, it ran MUCH better. It's as though the engine loosened up...much freer. It's revs smoothly and is more responsive.

It surges in all gears. Can't really tell after 60 mph. to much wind force. I have an appointment 11:00am. at a different stealer, they told me it should not surge at all. I will post reply tomorrow afternoon.
