I could be an idiot, but so far I cannot find a temp gauge dipstick for my bike. Has anyone found a gauge/dipstick that works that's not necessarily labeled for an '01 FXDWG?
Just curious, do your other bikes have an oil temp. gauge? These temp dipsticks usually crap the bed after a few months, and most are inaccurate out of the box. Put an oil cooler on it and call it good. but if you insist, check E-Bay or Dennis Kirk, JP Cycle to name a couple of sources.

Nope. Just temp.
I wanted this for the opposite reason. I added a two inch tank lift for the look, but, the guys at DK Customs said it would lower engine temps. My Harley runs cooler than my other bikes. And not what I’ve been partly used to from other VTwins. So this is a curiosity issue. I want to know the temp.
I’m a Harley newbie. Had an Indian Chief and Scout a few years back.. They were so hot I couldn’t ride them for long. My WG, so far, is nice and cool. But I haven’t been in any weather over 85 degrees.
Still, in that weather, my Honda and Yamaha get a bit toasty. And without a cat.

Regarding temps, I had two 103's at the same time. A 111hp carb bike and an 85hp EFI. The carb bike ran 35F cooler at exhaust ports then the EFI bike. I used an IR gun; they're cheaper than a temp dipstick and available in compact size, also more useful
