I just bought this bike so i have little to no history but this is what the electrical demons are doing.
The battery was dead so i charged it up. It needs replacing but its good enough till the new one gets here on Wednesday.
The bike for some reason seems to go into sleep or security mode after 15-20 minutes. Then when you turn on the bike, power comes on but it wont turn over.
Unless you remove the centre fuse in the fuse box and reinstall it, it will not turn over.
I have two fobs, both with good batteries and they do nothing. No lights flash and no ear shattering alarm.
Also the high beam headlight indicator stays on all the time. Im sure that is the craftiness of some electrical butcher.
Speaking of electrical butchery, the reason i knew to remove the fuse was because someone had cut the power wire to that fuse and put a toggle switch.
Likely because of the immobilizer issue and they were fed up with not wanting to take the cover off the side every time to be able to start the bike.
So now i am wondering if there is an actual issue with th immobilizer or does it just need to be reprogrammed? There is no ECM on this bike, it is carburated. Dealer did say no ECM.

I’ve changed the battery and all the planets seemed to align. For now, everything seems like it’s working.
