Front brake caliper
I am actually fighting that same battle on the rear caliper. I am using a box end 12 point wrench which you might try. Problem is the sombitch is so tight I cant get it to budge. Penetrating oil and heat have not budged it. I am afraid it's going to strip.

I have a 2005 dyna fxdci that needs to have the front brake caliper rebuilt. However the pads are held in by two pins that apparently need 1/4 inch 12-point thin wall socket in order to get them out. My problem is finding a 1/4 inch 12-point thin wall socket. Nobody seems to have it (not home depot, lowes, amazon, ebay, northerntool etc). Any ideas where I can get one or what else I can use to get the bolt out?
Try some gentle counter clockwise tapping with a hammer at the open end of the wrench...
