Do remember hearing TM is going to be releasing some new Software or firmware sometime after Sturgis. Don't know exactly when or what is going to be in it.

ORIGINAL: cardboard

You have to set yer speedo calibration to yer year, model bike, mine is 45900. Then you have to set yer final drive to 87 and the Gear 6 tps ot 40 on the basic setting and load it.
Yeah, I have done all that. I have been messing with/researching the software so I am pretty comfortable with it. Learned a lot by just playing around. Zipper's said it is something with the unit so I have to send it in.

Thanks, got it.

I'll have to wait till morning to ride though.

Thank you everyone for the help.

BTW, I went with your suggestions JMan since your set up is nearly identicle to mine. I'll let you all know tomorrow how it's working.

This is the version for TM, it states in to to clear the codes. And resetting the pulses.
If more than one selection is available, pick the SmartLink IV version with the latest date. Currently named:
EFI_THUNDERMAX-01_Version40_07-28-06.B19
Double click on the file to "auto load" for future use on your SML IV.
With ignition key and handlebar switch power on, select Configure / Firmware /
Update Module Firmware Now. Perform each step listed precisely as prompted on the screen to prevent corrupting the module during the upgrade process.
Once complete you should see a prompt to Clear IAC Module Offsets.
This step must be performed. If this screen does not appear, select Tools / Clear IAC Module Offsets before you proceed. Turn the key switch off 5 seconds; then back on. Once this step is finished, you are ready to proceed with new firmware.
While you are still linked, select Module Configuration / Basic Settings under the
Tuning Maps tab. New features in 4.0 firmware require resetting to the following values:
INITIAL FUEL PULSE set to 199 IAC STOPS TARGET set to 10
IAC MIN. LEARNING set to -10 IAC MAX LEARNING set to 10
Reinitialize the IAC by cycling the switch 3 times (on 60 seconds, off 30 seconds, x3) and your firmware update is complete. You can run the IAC-AUTO function now to have SmartLink automatically set the IAC stops if desired (see instruction booklet).

No, that looks like old instructions; about a year old. The newest firmware is version 4.5. As of this AM, it has not been loaded onto Zipper's FTP site.

Here's the latest version. You will need to rename the file from....
EFI_THUNDERMAX_01_Version45_07_17_07.txt

to...

EFI_THUNDERMAX_01_Version45_07_17_07.B19

and save it in your ThunderHeart program folder. Direct the SmarLink software to this file when you do the firmware upgrade and follow the instructions as the software prompts.
