I was wondering if the learning curves is still on the old map oh ? That's why they have to be cleared. I had a little trouble when we installed the TM on my buddys SB, this is one of the things my builder told me to do. Just a thought.
know you know this but yer need to make sure you do the base map setting unless TM sent you a map,. then make sure you have the closed loop checked, clear all the codes on fuel and everything.
There is a cord that is not showed in the manual that has to be hooked up for auto tune to work. The thundermax is plugged into the data port is what I'm trying to say.
On my dyna its a cord that is on the fuse box with a cover over it.
All the connectore on the bike are marked.
Under basic settings
On speedo you have to do the speedo calibration which is 45900 on my 07 wide glide
Then you have to do the final drive which on my bike is 87
Then gear 6 tps which is 40
You will probally have to take yer bike out for it to start working.
I know the connector you're referring to, it's plugged in to the right place.
Closed loop is checked, speedo is set to 45900. The 6th gear stuff is set correctly also, it stopped working after I flashed to the new firmware for the unit.
I suspect the timing is off, that would explain the roughness at higher RPM's and backfiring on decel. That's why I'm asking to see which maps people have used, I think my base map might not be the right one...
I do appreciate the help, I plan on giving Zippers a call tomorrow to see if they can add any more.
When I installed my T-max it ran great. Iused map 393 for my set-up. What didZipper's recommend for you? Anyway, had some popping on decel that I got tired of. I upgraded the software/firmware and changed some settingsand BAM.From the first start it ran even BETTER then it did when I thought it ran great. Under basic Settings I set Decel Fuel Cut to 1 (to activate it), Decel Fuel cut RPM Low: 1504, Decel Fuel Cut RPM High: 2496, and Decel Post Fuel Enrichement to : 7.84. My Accel Fuelis : 9.0 I cleared all my learned points and re-initialized. Took her for a spin and was very impressed. Still have to do some more miles to get it fully in-tune but I'm happy. Try that as our set-ups are kinda close. My 6th gear light also does not work. Hasn't since I installed the T-max 4 months ago. I will send it in over the winter to get that checked out. Good luck!
Where did you git yer firmware update, I hear there's a test version of firmware out there. Hope you didn't git it yet. Zippers is suppost to release there new version pretty soon.
This is the latest beta firmware that I've been able to find. I'm pretty sure it's what broke the 6th gear indicator but everything else was working fine before I installed the new pipes and AC.
Click EFI Maps, then EFI Map Listing / Definitions. This will bring up a screen with a listing of all of the base maps. Double click the 393 map then click Load Map File on the second screen. The file name should be "HDTSSGVCXE050107.slk".
