Hey all. Got a 13 FXDB w/96. Trying to narrow down my 2-1 exhaust options for an upgrade later this year when I do a cam install (Andrews 48H). I’m stuck between RR2 short and Cobra PowerPro HP. I assume everyone is gonna say go the Bassani route but the cost savings of the Cobra makes it hard to not consider. Anyone have any experience with the Cobra? Doesn’t seem to be a lot of review info about it but what I can find is positive. Thanks folks.

I have never used a Cobra exhaust... but I have seen a few over the years.
I looked into them once, IIRC, they've been around for like 30+ years. They are family owned and made in SoCal... I believe they started with ATV exhausts then put a lot of effort into manufacturing/marketing exhausts for Japanese-made bikes in the '90s...
I don't have technical info/experience on their designs or chrome quality, but they have been in business an awfully long time to be selling a total junk product. I would expect maybe better engineering/design from a Bassani pipe...
IMHO.... for a street bike, with OEM to minor mods, they are probably "close-enough" if you wish to save a few bucks...

Thanks for the info folks. As I plan to get the cam and install kit from FuelMoto guess it won’t hurt to give them a call and see what they have to say regarding a 2-1 choice.

Probably more expensive than a Cobra exhaust, but I have used two FuelMoto brand Jackpot exhausts.
I used one of their 2-1-2 and one of their 2-1 exhausts. They were high quality with excellent fit & finish... and good performance too...
Not exactly what you are looking for but my buddy has cobra full exhaust on his RKS and they sound amazing. Only issue is he got black and one of the mufflers had a large section of the black just flake off after about a year.
