96 fxdwg electrical problem
The other day I left a traffic light shifted from first to second, bike kinda bogged, I checked to make sure the pitcock was open and the engine died. I pushed it out of the road and tried to start it back up. Turned the ignition on and had no power, no lights. I checked the battery it still had a charge, but no power to anything else. I checked all of the fuses and they are good. Battery is less than 4 months old. I have a new ignition switch coming in tomorrow. Any ideas what else would cause this problem? TIA Todd

Sure sounds like ignition switch if all what you described was done careful and correctly. Could be a wire however connection to a crimped eye .
Sometimes a wiggle test or a meter from actual wire and then crimped connector for a check .
