Won’t idle after riding home
I rode to work this morning. It ran fine, and had no issues. I rode home in 90 degree heat and when I got home, I turned it off to open the garage door. When I started it back up, it wouldn’t stay at idle. I had to give it throttle or it would stall. I got it in the garage and it kept stalling at idle. 2009 Street Bob
Gas tank is full, air cleaner is clean. Not sure about fuel filter. But I went out 2 hours later and it started and idled fine. Maybe it got too hot?

If it happens again, try to ride it for a bit. If it clears up in a minute or two, you may have gotten a bit of "vapor lock" in the fuel line from the tank. This can happen especially of the system doesn't maintain pressure after you shut it off.

You don't get vapor lock with EFI.
How many miles are on the gas filter?
What you want to check besides the filter is the fuel pressure. Also inspect the lines and regulator in the tank while priming the fuel pump.

Not in the conventional sense, but, when you shut down, if all the pressure in the fuel lines bleeds off the fuel can boil and introduce a vapor bubble. It's not a "lock" per se, but you have to then run that bubble through the system, and it won't perform right until either you do, or it cools off and the bubble condenses back into liquid.
